London Haul + Exciting News ▲ AlexRocksXO

Hi guys!
This post is just going to be a brief run-through of what I bought when I was out in London (I've done a full post on it here).
Also I have some exciting news at the end of the post so make sure you keep reading :-)

So on Sunday Sally and I went to London, for a bit of a mooch in the sun! The sun beamed down on us which was a lovely surprise and we had a look round some vintage markets and some cute little shops and I bought some goodies :-).

This is all the stuff I bought in Camden and Brick Lane, I really love the red shirt, its a really nice fit and I think will look great throughout the summer, and it was only £15 bargain! I also love the Rokit tote bag I got. I couldn't get an amazing picture of it but you can see the colour and pattern of it. That was £5. The earrings on the bottom right were only £2 and I really like them, I've never ever been a fan of gold jewellery but I've always liked black and gold things, and these have caused no discomfort to my ear or any irritation, so £2 very well spent! The most expensive thing I bought was the T-Shirt for £20, although the price tag was quite high, it was hand made and its a nice fit too! The sunglasses were from Camden and were £5 and I love sunglasses and will buy many many pairs, but I really really like this pair! I'm hoping the sun pops out to say hello again soon so I can wear them! Lastly I bought some socks from Topman, they are 3 for £7 but with a 20% discount I got them for just over £5, and they are really comfy! (New socks are the best things ever!)

That's all the stuff I bought in London, I haven't worn any of the tops I bought because of the weather and also because I've been at work all week! I am very very tired!

So if you're still with me you may be wondering what the exciting news is..?
Well I know I've been a bit slow with postings so I wanted to give you something to read more often, and rather than just posting more I thought I'd make something out of it, so starting from tomorrow (1/6/13) it is officially Jampacked June! For the month of June I'm going to post every day and really start to fill up this blog and make it something special! I'm really excited for this!

Thank you guys for reading as always I love to read your comments! What do you think of Jampacked June? (I'm going to call it JJ for short) I hope you're excited for it! I will see you all tomorrow for the first day of JJ!
Bye guys!

London Trip ▲ OOTD ▲ AlexRocksXO

Hi guys!
So yesterday me and Sally (I'll link her blog here) went to London and we had the best day! It was a beautiful day in London, and we didn't even realise it was going to be so it was a fantastic surprise to whack out the sunnies and have a good old mooch round in the sun!
We had a little shock when we got on the train.. we didn't realise that the door to the train drivers cabin was open (we sat at the back so no one was in there) but as the train pulled away the door slammed shut and made Sally and I scream! We were next to the door and the sound was so loud I did let out a bit of a scream!
We could see out of the back so that was a little trippy. In the end every time it opened or closed we'd grab it so it wouldn't slam; I wonder what the people did after we got off.. We were definitely the hero's of the train!

When we got into London we went to Brick Lane (after about half an hour of wandering streets and totally depending on Google Maps to take us there!) We had a nice walk around the markets and both picked up some shirts and things, then we found a poster for a festival we're both working on in August and got really excited!
We both got very grumpy because we were so hungry, and then we found this lovely roof terrace kind of thing full of pop up shops and some nice restaurants. We ended up eating at a place called  Chop'd which was so nice! We both got massive bowls of salad that we could choose what went inside for £7 I think, and it was so tasty! When we were trying to find somewhere to eat some people from relentless (the energy drink) gave us free samples of their new flavours! Free drinks can't turn them down! We then of course had to get ice creams because it was such great weather, it would be a crime not to! We also found a wall full of padlocks with names and hearts on which was really cute.

Here are some images of what we got up to in Brick Lane.

We hopped on the train to Camden town and had a little mooch around the markets, but we didn't stay as long as we did in Brick Lane, but it was still fun. Sally and I both bought some T-Shirts from independent designers so that was our good deed for the day! I also had bubble tea which was so so good!

After this we went to Westfield for about half an hour and then everything closed because it was a Sunday.. I popped into LUSH (I couldn't resist) and then into Topman and Topshop for Sally!
We had such an amazing day and I'm really pleased with the things I bought! I'll be putting up a haul post in the next couple of days!

So this is what I wore if anyone is interested..

This is the overall look. I really love the shirt and it was from Primark, (bargain) and I just really like the look I put together! I never really wear light denim jeans but I really like this pair I have so I may have to invest in a new pair (these ones are a bit old and scraggy!)

If you have seen me recently I have probably been wearing this leather jacket! It was a great find in New Look man, and it was only £19! It was on sale and was the last one, I am proud of that find!

These shoes are the favourite pair I own. They are Dr Marten's and they were around £70 I think. They are black crushed velvet and are just gorgeous! Definitely worth the money. As they aren't meant to get wet and I live in rainy England I haven't worn them much recently, but I'm hoping it stays sunny so I can wear them more often!

Okay so that's it for my London trip! This was a mega essay post so if you're still with me thanks! I really appreciate all of your comments on my posts! Do you guys like this kind of post? Did you like the OOTD section? Please let me know :-)
If I could ask you all one favour and that is to follow me on Bloglovin'.. As GFC is dying soon you lovelies wont be able to keep up with my posts! So if you'd like to do that I'd really appreciate it! There is a button at the right of my page or at the bottom!

Thanks for reading guys and I'll speak to you all soon!

Nip + Fab Pistachio Sundae Body Butter Review/First Impressions ▲ AlexRocksXO

Hi guys! I did have a big Body Shop haul to show you guys but I lost the images and haven't had a chance to re-shoot yet! But I'm going out on Sunday so whatever I buy I'll include in that haul :-)
So I received a new product in the post this week from Nip + Fab, so I thought I'd give you a quick review / my first impressions of this!
I've never actually heard of Nip + Fab, but I found a couple of people reviewing this product on YouTube, and as it was pretty cheap I thought I'd give it a go.

I quite liked the packaging, the pot is the same green as the text which I like, and I liked the detail at the bottom of the lid. It retails for £4.95 for a 200ml pot, which is considerably less expensive than Body Shop Body Butter, which retails for £13 which I think is a little expensive so its nice to find something that is cheap!

The product itself is lovely, its really moisturising and it doesn't leave any grease or residue on your skin which is great if you're in a hurry to get it on and get out of the house!
The scent I bought was Pistachio Sundae.. I doubt I'll order this scent again as it isn't my favourite, but I wanted to try something different. It is nice, but it isn't the greatest of scents. It's a very overwhelming smell and it isn't the greatest. The website has some other scents that I'd like to try!

I'll definitely be repurchasing this, just in a different scent!

That's it for this review! Like I said I'll have a haul for you all soon which I'm exited to write up!
Silly me didn't add the follow button onto this blog when I made it, so you can now follow me! Woo!
Thanks for reading guys! Have any of you tried this product? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below!

WISHLIST ▲ ZARA TOPMAN ▲ ALEXROCKSXO

Hi guys! I am all better now and back to regular posting!
So today I went shopping and had a peek at some stuff in Topman and H&M, so I thought I'd make a quick wishlist of things I've found online. I love reading these posts so I thought I'd make one! Here goes..

Floral Print Zara Tee   £19.99
This is the bottom middle top, and I really like this. I love floral prints especially in the summer so this is pretty perfect, I'm currently trying to add colour to my wardrobe as its pretty boring right now. So yeah.. I like this :-)

"Floral Combination" Zara Tee £19.99
This is bottom left, and I love this a lot more than the one in the middle, its a lot brighter and just a lot more fun. I really like T-Shirts, but sometimes the material can be a bit funny and not look right on me, so I'm wary with T-Shirts.. But I love this!

H&M Yellow Sneakers  £24.99
Basically I need some new gym shoes. I currently wear some plimsolls from River Island and they just aren't cutting it. I was tempted to order some custom Nike shoes, but they were so expensive, but I really like these ones from H&M! Plus they're bright so they will add needed colour to my wardrobe.

H&M Paterened Shoes  £29.99
I adore these. They are so cute and just so cool. They are blue, and most of my clothes are blue, but I cant help but love them. (I'm a sucker for shoes!)

Topman Plum Dip Dye Denim Shirt  £34.00
I found this shirt today in store, and I actually ran up to it shouting (and got told off by Amy) but I really love it. I much prefer the look of shirts than T-Shirts on me, I just think they look nicer. This shirt does come with a hefty price tag, so I am hesitant to buy it.. I may well end up paying full price, or I may wait for the sale.. Depends on how much I can resist it.

Topman Multi Coloured Tye Dye Top  £20
I also found this today, and I really like it. It's so colourful and just really cool. I like the base colour of it, the pinky/red, its bright and really cool. Plus I really liked the material, it was quite thick so it wont cling and hang funny.. The price tag isn't too bad, but I'm sure you can get tye dye cheaper than that.. (I'm the biggest bargain hunter ever)

That's it for my wishlist (for now), I really hope you enjoyed reading and if you did be sure to leave a comment or subscribe to my blog! Thanks for reading guys!

Update ▲ AlexRocksXO

Hi guys! Sorry for not posting last week, I had tonsillitis and though it's not serious, I felt pretty rubbish last week and had literally no energy, so I'm sorry there was no Thursday post last week, but back to regular posting this week.
I've been in such a positive mood yesterday and today, nothing has gotten me down and I'm just super happy! I keep feeling really exited for things, when really I have nothing to be exited for.. Perhaps the antibiotics are making me a bit wacky..? I'm not sure but still I feel great!

Thought I'd give you all a quick little update to know I'm still alive! As always thanks for reading guys!

April Favourites ▲ AlexRocksXO

Hi guys! So sorry for the lack of posting here! It's been a busy couple of weeks but I'm back now and back to regular posting, I'm going to try to upload a post every Thursday, with the odd post here and there; but as today is May 1st (wow it's already May, how time flies) I thought I'd show you all my favourite things for the month of April!

Original Source Shower Gels
My first favourite is a collective favourite, and these shower gels are probably the nicest ones I've used in such a long time.

So I currently have three different scents of the shower gels, Mint and Tea Tree, Lemon and Tea Tree and Orange and Cinnamon. Out of the three my favourite is definitely the Mint and Tea Tree, it is one of the most refreshing and clean scents I've used, gives me a nice wake up boost in the morning as well. I wasn't so impressed by the Orange and Cinnamon because it didn't lather up very nicely, but the other two lather up really well and make great bubbles in the bath! The Orange and Cinnamon was a winter scent I believe so it may have been discontinued, but I think some shops may still stock it. I found my 3 scents in Boots, Asda, Superdrug, Tesco etc.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin

This is a bit of a cheat favourite, because I've had it for under a week, but I love it so much I thought I'd put it in my favourites. This stuff is amazing.

So this is supposed to improve the appearance of your skin, and even out skin tone. I am running out of my current lush cleanser Herbalism and that stuff is amazing too! I tend to get red skin on my forehead and some pimples and stuff I don't really enjoy seeing.. But oh my goodness this stuff completely kept my skin its normal colour and kept my spots at bay.

I love Lush products because they are all natural and so nice to my skin. This cleanser contains lavender running through it, and also ground almonds which really exfoliate the skin and keep it grease free. If you suffer from redness or are looking to try out a new cleanser you should give this a go! It's an amazing product.

Body Shop Vitamin E Moisture Cream

I've never been a huge lover of moisturiser, it normally leaves my face greasy and ends up giving my pimples, but a lady at Lush told me I really should moisturise after using cleansers as they can sometimes be drying. I was going to buy this beautiful Lush moisturiser  but at over £20 a pot I didn't think it was worth it for something I may not even like.. So I picked up this Body Shop Moisturiser, which had a much smaller price tag.

The lady in The Body Shop told me we cannot produce vitamin E and have to either add it to the skin or eat it. Whether that is true or not I'm not sure, but this moisturiser is lovely. The texture is silky and doesn't leave a residue on the skin or add grease to my skin, just leaves it feeling so soft and smooth! Plus this has lasted forever! When it eventually runs out I will definitely repurchase.

Disclosure
This month I have really been loving Disclosure, most of you may have heard their hit song Latch, which was a great success, but they have released 2 new songs, White Noise and You and Me. I also own 2 other songs of theirs called Tenderly and Flow, they aren't as well known but are still amazing songs!

So these are my favourites for April! I didn't try too many new products last month so hopefully next month will be full of lovely new products for me to recommend to you guys! Let me know if you've tried any of these products, or if there are any that you can recommend to me! Thanks for reading guys!
