AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Nine - Hurraw Lip Balm Review

I have waaayyy too many lip balms but I continue to buy more and more; it isn't often when one catches my eye and tries to grab the 'Holy Grail' spot but this one has. Hurraw isn't a brand I have ever heard of but they only use completely organic raw vegan ingredients - what's not to love? I spotted a set of them in American Apparel and for the £4 price tag I wasn't going to leave them there. I have absolutely fallen in love with this balm, it is light, creamy and most importantly it is moisturising.  I also love the flavour, it is almond but it just reminds me of Disaranno (one of my favourite beverages) and it tastes sooo good. I am regretting picking up more flavours because I have no AA stores near me so I will have to wait until I am back in London to pick up some more.
Overall I absolutely love this balm and it is easily making it's way to 'Holy Grail' and overtaking my Blistex Med + lip balm. Have you tried Hurraw before? Let me know in the comments below! Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Eight - Floral Dilemma

I think Topman do florals so well - sometimes too well and now I cannot decide what item to pick up so I am asking for your opinion. What do you think? I think I love the trousers but then I fell in love with the middle shorts then on the website I saw the shorts on the left. UGH. Which pair do you think I should buy? Or maybe all of them? Let me know in the comments below! Let me know in the comments below! Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Seven - The Most Colourful Shoes - Ever?

I think these may be the loudest pair of shoes I have seen and I absolutely love them! I never really go toweard statmenet pieces I am definitely more of a basic and neutral kind of guy but when I saw these on sale for £50 I couldn't leave them. They are one of a kind and no other pair will look like this which I think is pretty cool. I love Dr Martens as they are so comfy (after they've been broken in) and are so long lasting. I haven't worn these too many times as they are so loud and it is quite hard to piece an outfit around but I don't think these are the kind of shoes you should wear all the time - they are very statement and I think wearing them 24/7 would make them lose their appeal. I absolutely love the orange and blue together mixed in with the yellow - although they are very bright I think they have a lot of base colours you can match them with.
What do you think of them? Let me know in the comments below! Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Six - The Fault In Our Stars

An over reviewed topic? Yes. One that I want to talk about? Hell to the yes.

I know tonight is a late one and I would have waited until tomorrow to talk about this but I literally just got home from seeing the film and I wanted to just express how I feel about it.
If you haven't heard of the book or film - where have you been? But it is basically about two young adults who have cancer (sorry topic but bare with me) and without spoiling anything it follows their lives after they meet and the amazing events that follow. Point one - you will cry; book or film you will sob. I sobbed through the book and even when I knew what was going to happen I still cried like a little baby. The book is full of beautiful and memorable quotes like 'I fell in love the way you fall asleep; slowly, then all at once.' This may be my favourite quote as I think it is so simple yet beautiful. I really didn't think I would enjoy the book but grabbed it while it was on offer but as I started to read I fell more and more in love with it. Although I think some topics are very glorified and sometimes quite pretentious I can overlook these as it is so heartwarming but at the same time heart wrenching.
I do feel that the film left out a lot of detail that would have easily been included in the book - like the support group's (where Hazel and Augustus met) leader and how his 'balls' were chopped off.. One of the funniest parts of the book but was skipped over in the film but it really isn't so much an important detail, just one I would have liked to see in the film.  I seriously urge you to go and read the book then see the film; reading the book first really gave me an insight to how they felt and almost got to know the characters better. Have you read the book or seen the film yet? Let me know your thoughts below! I'd love to have a chat about your favorite parts! Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Five - Wake Me Up Milkshake - Recipe

I am most definitely not a morning person - from 7am-10am I am a hot grumpy mess and generally don't have the energy to do most simple tasks. I was trying to find a way to grab something healthy and quick before rushing to work and stumbled across this quick recipe that I thought I should share with you. It only uses 3 ingredients and a blender and tastes amazing - this is my 'Wake Me Up Milkshake'

INGREDIENTS
- One frozen banana
- One shot of coffee
- One cup of milk

Chuck all of these into a blender with a dash of sugar and blend - that's it! The coffee will give you an instant caffeine and the banana adds sweetness, it is also a great source of fibre and don't have too much sugar. As it is frozen it makes the milkshake sooo much creamier and almost feels like there is ice cream in there. I think adding some cocoa powder in there too would be absolutely amazing - there is room for experimentation. If you have any ideas on what to add let me know in the comments below. Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Four - Shoes on Shoes

1/2/3

I have to say Summer is probably my hardest time to buy shoes - I have to shy away from my boots and brogues and try and find something more summery. I struggle to actually find summery shoes I like but these three pairs I have found. I love love pair one - they are absolutely perfect (apart from the £110 price tag) but I may have to treat myself - what do you think? Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Three - Tattoo Inspiration #2

With my 18th birthday fast approaching and legally being able to get a tattoo it is becoming more of a real thing and therefore I am looking at a lot more designs. I love geometric designs and things that are really clean and simple - I think they look beautiful. What do you guys think? I'd love to know your opinions; leave them in the comments below! Also I have been posting in the evening more often, do you guys prefer that? Or do you like morning posts. Let me know! AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty Two - Michael Todd Pumpkin Face Mask Review

I saw a fair bit of hype for the Michael Todd True Organics Pumpkin Nutrient Rich Facial Mask (long enough name?) a few months ago - I saw a few Youtubers talking about how much they love it and how it's like 'food for your face' and how it can make your skin look flawless so I thought I would try it out. I have may many acne scars hanging about and as this has Glycolic acid in it I thought it would be great for starting to get rid of them. I ordered two of these (one as a gift) and a toner and when it arrived into the UK I had to pay £16 customs charge which sucked big time so there was even more pressure on the products to be amazing seeing as I had to pay extra. What appealed to me about this company is everything is organic and many of their products are vegan and not tested on animals - I have tried their Blue Green Algae toner which I really liked too. This mask is $34 which is about £20 and this is the most I've ever spent on a mask so I was really holding out for it being amazing.

When I opened up this mask the first thing I noticed was the smell - it absolutely stinks. It's like mouldy veg mixed with vinegar it is so gross; plus it is also bright orange which doesn't make for the most amazing look. When you actually apply it to your face it burns, not like tingling like literal burning, it hurts. The first time I persevered for 10 minutes but whenever I use it now is for maybe 2-5 minutes. After the burning and the stinking I wash it off and I am left with smooth skin but that's about it. I saw no reduction in my scars, blemishes or complexion. If I am being honest I am really disappointed and have recently given this away to see if someone else would enjoy it. I am looking for some masks that will help reduce my scars and also deminish blemishes - do you have any recommendation?

Have you tried any Michael Todd products? Let me know in the comments below. Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Twenty - Bargain Rings

I've never really liked jewellery; I  always found it a pain in the bum and it always seems to get in the way. Saying that I have started to pick up a few pieces to try and persuade myself to like as I love the look of it.
Browsing Topshops sale I found these beauties; three rings for £3 - bargain! I love the look of the crystals and the vintage style metal. They are just about a perfect fit. Slightly too small for my bigger fingers but perfect for my ring finger and my little finger. I wore these out on Friday and got good compliments from them so I think they're a win! What do you you think?

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Nineteen - Top 5 Body Shop Products

You all probably know by now that I love The Body Shop - I worked there for a while and it is just one of my favourite places to shop. I know it can be quite overwhelming going in there and being faced by something like 20 different body care ranges, then make up, skincare and perfume it can be quite daunting but I always found it helpful to look at peoples reviews before shopping there and that is where the idea for this post came from - here are my top 5 products from The Body Shop I would recommend for you to pick up!

Tea Tree Flawless BB Cream & Extra Virgin Mineral Face Brush
The Tea Tree BB Cream is a very recent addition to my collection but I already love it so much - I have done a review on it here so check it out for a more in depth description. I tend to apply it with my fingers then blend it out with this brush. It is so dense and fluffy and sooo soft; it is also great for applying their All In One Face Base a pressed powder with a lot of pigment, another one of my favourite products from their but it didn't make the top five.

Hemp Hand Protector
I work for a shoe shop and because I am constantly around cardboard boxes my hands get so dry and I hate it, I have never found a more hydrating hand cream that sinks in as fast as this does. I would say leave it on for about five minutes and it would have sank in completely. Love the stuff - I use it everyday and I now have beautiful soft hands ;-).

Aloe Lip Care
I saw 'ICovetThee' and 'EssieButton' rave about this lip balm and I just thought 'oh it's just another lip balm I don't need' but I caved and for the £4 it was I wasn't bothered if it worked or not. Oh ma lawwd this is amazing. I haven't been using it as much in the warmer months as my lips aren't as dry but holy guacamole in the winter this is a life saver. After picking this up I feel like throwing out all my other lip balms - seriously this is the only one you'll ever need.

Deo Dry Deodorant - Discontinued
I am so upset that these have been discontinued as they are the most amazing deodorants I have used. I picked up about 10 when I found out they were and I am down to my last one. I know it's technically cheating that I put these in here but I love them too much to ignore!

Shea Body Butter
I love most of the body butters (not a fan of the plain ones) but shea is my favorite. It is a sweet nutty fragrance and it's super moisturising so it's a win win. The body butters are sometimes really creamy like the vitamin E one and the satsuma one or they are a lot more solid like the shea one and olive. I prefer the harder ones as they are more moisturising in my eyes but it is so personal, if you're on the hunt for a new body butter check these bad boys out.

So they are my top Body Shop products - what are yours? Let me know in the comments below!  Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Eighteen - The Sunglasses Edit

1/2/3/4
Lord knows I love me some sunglasses and I have been eyeing up (no pun intended) a few new pairs seeing as I have just smashed my bloody clubmasters -cries-. So here are  pairs I have spotted that I like the look of. My favourite pair is definitely pair 2; I love that sort of but not quite cat eye. Let me know your favourite pair in the comments below!  Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Seventeen - The Body Shop Body Mist

Although I harp on about it being summer and how much I love it - one thing I do miss about the colder months is being able to wear heavier deeper scented perfumes. I definitely miss my deep vanilla scented 'Zara Black' but I don't think it's great for the summer but when I popped into The Body Shop today I found the Shea Body Mist and I am in love.
This is a light, nutty and kind of creamy scent but it is so light as it's only body mist. It isn't overpowering like their EDT is. I find them to be too sickly and give me headaches - I had the chocolate one.. Big mistake - this doesn't have that problem at all and it is light and fresh and perfect for summer. They have tonnes of different scents so if this one doesn't take your fancy check out their others!
I hope you're all enjoying daily posting at the moment - what do you want to see? Let me know in the comments! Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.

AlexRocksxo | Jampacked June Day Sixteen - Sunday Stuff #3

Seeing as summer is calling I have been being drawn to more citrus scented body products - this is what brought on the splurge of orange scented bath products. Also this is my 100th blog post! Can't believe I've sat down and posted 100 posts and people have actually read them! Happy 100 posts AlexRocksxo!

The Body Shop - Satsuma Body Polish & Shower Gel
Like I said I have been tempted by more citrus products so I reached to the back of my drawer and grabbed my Satsuma Body Polish and Shower Gel. The Body Polish is a gentle exfoliator that acts like a shower gel all in one, it is harsh enough to actually scrub my skin but isn't too hard so it doesn't aggravate my arms and legs - paired with the shower gel I guarantee I smelt amazing today!

Lush - Brightside
Lush's bubble bars are my absolute favourite treat for the bath and Brightside didn't disappoint. With mandarin, orange, bergamont and just a gorgeous all round citrus scent to it it is perfect for summer! It also made my bath bright orange; a bit like iron bru.. What's not to love?

Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter
After a hot bath my favourite thing to do is give myself a smothering in body butter; my current favourite is this offering from Soap and Glory. It smells just like their original scent and is so moisturising. My favourite thing is that when I woke up this morning I could still smell it on my arms. I see myself getting through it quite quickly!

Soap and Glory - Scrubatomic
I normally use a facemask on a Sunday night but seeing as I don't have any currently (shocker!) but I still wanted to treat my skin so I used my favourite scrub at the moment. I reviewed it here so you can check out my thoughts in detail there.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. What do you do on a Sunday to relax? Be sure to also go over to bloglovin' and follow me to make sure you don't miss out on any of my future posts.
